August 9th, 2021 (JUNEAU, Alaska) – When the clock strikes Midnight, the night has just begun with Alaskan Midnight Haze.
Infused with the juicy fullness and mistiness of a hazy IPA while donning the color of black coffee, the first sip of Midnight Haze is a blast of hoppy stone fruit goodness with complementary notes of roasted caramel, chocolate, and toffee.
Available starting September 1st for in select markets nationwide, Midnight Haze IPA (6% ABV) is an audacious twist on a New England India Pale Ale. The New England IPA, or “Hazy IPA”, once a source of major controversy in craft brewing has since become a wildly popular staple. The Midnight Haze takes the Hazy concept and seemingly crosses it with a Black IPA resulting in an extremely well-balanced dark IPA as mysterious and invigorating as the secretive allure of night.
“Grapefruit, stone fruit, and melon hop aromas give this exciting new brew an inviting flavor grounded in the coffee, chocolate, caramel, and toffee notes of an early fall profile,” said Rob Day, Brewing Manager at Alaskan.
The flavor of Midnight Haze IPA is hop forward with light roasted caramel and biscuit notes.
“Midnight Haze IPA is an excellent addition to our Limited Edition brew portfolio,” said Merv Boyce, Director of Sales & Marketing for Alaskan Brewing Co. “It’s the perfect beer to drink under the stars by a campfire and we’re excited to introduce it to Alaskans as well as beer drinkers in the Lower 48 states.”
