Autumn Pour Homebrew Competition winners announced

Alec Venechuk takes Best in Show for Munich Dunkel

JUNEAU, Alaska (Nov. 15, 2016) – 

Judges awarded 10 medals for outstanding homebrews at the 16th annual Autumn Pour Homebrew Competition awards ceremony on Nov. 4. Alec Venechuk took the highest honor — Best in Show — as well as earning the top spot for each of the three flights judged.

Winning brewers were awarded medals, as well as prize money, ingredients and gift certificates toward the craft.

Flight 1: Spiced Beer/ Wild Specialty / Saison

1^st Place    Alec Venechuk – Spiced Beer with Spruce Tips

2^nd Place  Matthew Barnaby – Spiced Beer with Dandelion Blossoms

3^rd Place   Thomas Albert – Saison with Rose Hips & Hibiscus

Flight 2: Low ABV Beers

1^st Place    Alec Venechuck – Munich Dunkel

2^nd Place  Mitch & Rochele Knotthingham – American Pale Ale

3^rd Place   Alec Venechuk – American Pale Ale

Flight 3: High ABV Beers

1^st Place   Alec Venechuk – Weizenbock
