Frontier Pack

Frontier Pack

A fun, creative variety sampling featuring brewers’ choice and limited edition brews viewable through our unique window packaging.

Mainstay Styles

Anchoring the Frontier Pack is our flagship beer, Alaskan Amber. Richly malty and long on the palate, with just enough hop backing to make it well balanced, Amber is based off of a Gold Rush era recipe, rediscovered in 1986. Also included in every Frontier Pack is Alaskan Icy Bay IPA. Made from glacier-fed water and a blend of Cascade, Bravo, Calypso, Summit and Apollo hops, Icy Bay IPA distinctly hoppy, with a crisp, dry finish.

Rotating Beers

Also included in each Frontier Pack are two rotating styles: Brewers’ Choice and Limited Edition. The Brewers’ Choice beer is an exclusive brew selected by one of our very own Alaskan brewers. Peek inside the minds of our creative, innovative Brew Crew – they’ve handpicked their favorite beer of the moment to share with you and your friends. The Limited Edition beer is a limited release beer available only for a short time, and could be a fan-favorite, a retired style, or something new we want to try out. These beers are very limited, so what’s found in one pack may not be seen in the next.

Our innovative packaging revolutionizes the sampler pack phenomenon with its interactive window feature. Take a peek inside the box!

Variety and sampler packs have been around for years – some offer the same beers in every box, others have different “mystery” or “variety” beer styles inside. Having the choice of a variety of beer is exciting for beer fans, allowing them to explore new styles while giving breweries a chance to introduce something different and highlight the diversity of their offerings. The Frontier Pack’s interactive window feature adds a new dimension to the sampler pack, inviting shoppers inside the box to touch, turn, and take a peek at the beers inside.

The Story Behind the Label

Alaska is known as the Last Frontier, because of its separation from the lower 48 states as well as its thousands of miles of wild, untamed wilderness – immense glaciers and ice fields, rugged coastlines, vast tundra, and deep, old-growth forests. Some of the most wild places – the truly final frontiers – are found in underneath the surfaces of Alaska’s approximately 100,000 glaciers, in the crevasses, tunnels, and caves formed by meltwater and stress within the ice.
