JUNEAU, AK (September 9th, 2022) – Among the many things making Alaska unique, the art of dipnetting is likely one of the lesser known. Alaska fishing enthusiasts line the banks of rivers and streams with long handled nets and a keen eye for competing brown bears vying for the same tasty catch. Thanks to Alaska’s salmon-packed rivers, dipnetters can catch a year’s supply of salmon by simply scooping their bounty right out of the water. Inspired by these intrepid fishermen, the Alaskan Brewing Co. announces a beer that’s sure to be a total catch: Alaskan Dip Net DIPA.
Alaskan Dip Net DIPA scoops up a fresh catch of fruity hop flavor with Sultana, Strata and Citra hops bringing forward the taste of juicy pineapple, strawberry and guava. This hazy, light-golden Double India Pale Ale has a creamy head, tropical fruit aroma, and a slight sweetness masking its substantial 7.5% ABV.
Now available in stores across all 25 states where the beer is distributed, Alaskan Dip Net IPA is making a 16 oz can debut after a successful run as part of the brewery’s 22 oz bottled Pilot Series last year. Perfect snag for those that are looking for a hearty drink without too much of a bite.
